This new olive variety comes from the Todolivo Genetic Improvement Program. It was naturally developed in 2008 through cross-pollination between Arbosana I-43® x Koroneiki I-38®.
A small-sized variety with low vigor and an upright growth habit.
Its productivity is high and consistent. It has a high leaf-to-wood ratio, meaning that with very few structural woody branches it concentrates a large amount of productive foliage, making its management simple and cost-effective. Its shoots are very dense, with the particular ability to produce flowers and set a large amount of fruit within the canopy.
It achieves good oil yield in late November to early December, which is the ideal time to begin harvesting. Its olives are very similar to those of Koroneiki I-38®, as is its extra virgin olive oil, giving it strong potential for recognition due to its outstanding quality. Harvesting is recommended from late November to early December.
It is highly productive under both dry farming and irrigated conditions.
It is tolerant to peacock spot and Verticillium, and slightly tolerant to olive knot disease.
