This new olive variety comes from the Todolivo Genetic Improvement Program. It was naturally developed in 2010 through cross-pollination between Arbosana I-43® x Koroneiki I-38®.
A variety of medium to low size and vigor, with an upright growth habit and weeping branching. It has a high leaf-to-wood ratio.
Its production is high and consistent, with a high oil yield. It performs well under both dry farming and irrigated conditions.
It is a variety that responds well to pruning, and its maintenance is simple and cost-effective. The olives detach easily and can be harvested early due to the high oil yield. Ripening is early (late October to early November).
It shows good adaptability to dry farming thanks to a powerful root system and small leaves, which help reduce transpiration during the summer period. It is tolerant to peacock spot and Verticillium, and slightly tolerant to olive knot disease.
Its extra virgin olive oil has good organoleptic quality, very similar to that of its parent, Arbosana I-43®.
